What Does the Trip Price Include?
The trip price includes 21 or 27 speed hybrid type bikes. It includes 7 nights accommodation, breakfast and dinner, tour guides and local experts, and access to sites of historical interest. That's the overview! More detailed information is provided when you click here.
What's the Food Like?
I'm totally biased but Polish cuisine is simply amazing. We eat tasty traditional fare like pierogi, schabowy, and barscht but also more modern variations. It's worth mentioning that food is often cited as being a highlight of the trip by past cyclist's.
How Fit Do I Need to Be?
An average level of fitness is fine. All our trips are rated easy to medium and as you cycle at your own pace, it can be as easy or hard as you like. There are some hills here and there - but no mountain passes - and our routes are carefully planned so that everyone can enjoy them. The average daily distance is 35-40 miles or about 56-64km depending on group ability, terrain, and route taken. This equates to about 4 to 5 hours on the bike per day. Casual riders join our tours but most are keen adventurous cyclists who enjoy time on the bike. Of course, the cycling can be as casual, relaxed, and easy pedalling as you like or the opposite!
What About Van Support?
Our tours have a minimum of two guides and our minibus is always available. Our minibus carries your luggage, water for your water bottle, snacks, any purchases you make, and of course you, if you want a break from cycling. It is also a mobile bike shop and carries the necessary tools and spare parts.
How Many People Are in a Group?
In order to maximise the experience for everyone our groups are limited to 10-12 people. There is a minimum of 4 people for a tour to start. This enables us to personalise your experience and really get to know one another. A mix of singles, couples and families take our tours with an age range from 30-65!
What are the Roads Like?
The days are mainly spent on village roads, paths, tracks, and designated cycling routes. You don't need to worry about heavy traffic, you'll be riding in rural Poland through idyllic villages and tree lined valleys!
Where Will I be Staying?
You will be staying in double rooms in pensions, on agro-tourism farms, Castle outbuildings, and small hotels. If you are travelling without a companion we can pair you up with another person. Or you can have your own room for a single supplement.
What Happens with My Luggage?
While you are riding between attractions and enjoying yourself all your luggage is on its way to the daily destination in our mini bus. At the end of the day you will find your luggage waiting for you in your room.
Can I Bring My Own Bike?
Of course! You're quite welcome to bring your own bike, but please have it serviced before you arrive. Feel free to bring your favourite seat or set of clipless pedals if you desire.
What Type of Bike Do You Provide?
We provide bikes for no extra charge. Our 21 or 27 speed bikes are of the hybrid variety and are comfortable, safe, and easy to ride. Each bike has a handlebar bag to hold all your important daily necessities like cameras, sunscreen, and wallets. We don't provide helmets but it is compulsory to wear one as it's against Polish law not to. So please bring your own.
How Do I Get to Wroclaw, Poland?
We are located in the capital city of Lower Silesia, Wroclaw. This is a beautiful old town which is our start and end point.
